The Marfa Chamber of Commerce's 37th Marfa Lights Festival ran over Labor Day weekend, August 30 to September 1, 2024, on the Presidio County Courthouse lawn, with food and vendors from across Texas (Big Bend Sentinel).
Mass gatherings and emergency capacity, 2019
When a large festival was proposed, the county judge brought permitting procedures for mass gatherings to the commissioners court, and the emergency coordinator raised shelter capacity (Marfa Public Radio). Large events here plan food, water, and sanitation from scratch.

A hotel remodels its kitchen ahead of the fall season. A kitchen trailer and a refrigerated trailer arrive a week early to allow for the long haul and inspection.
Planning scenario: festival caterer
A caterer feeding festival crews adds a dish trailer so it can use reusable serviceware instead of trucking in disposables.
Matching the equipment
A mobile kitchen trailer replaces a cooking line; a dishwashing trailer replaces a dish room; a refrigeration trailer adds cold storage. Many Marfa projects need only one of the three.
