1. Past emergencies and recovery needs

The City of Sturgis says the rally turns its town of 7,100 into a city of more than 450,000 each year (City of Sturgis). A crowd that size strains every kitchen, water system, and supply chain in the area. A mobile kitchen trailer rental or refrigeration trailer adds capacity before the rush rather than during it.

2. Major construction

Construction and repairs in Sturgis are scheduled around the rally. If a project takes a kitchen offline, a trailer placed outside the work zone keeps service going; plan utilities and placement with the contractor.

3. Major renovation

Restaurants and venues often renovate in the off-season to be ready for August. A temporary kitchen, a dishwashing trailer, or cold storage keeps a kitchen serving while the permanent room is rebuilt.

4. Emergency equipment access

The City's 2026 vending guide says suppliers and vendors can't park delivery trucks or other large vehicles on Main Street between July 15 and August 15 (Sturgis vending guide), and the City posts rally traffic maps of street closures each year (City of Sturgis). Deliver trailers before mid-July or plan an approved route.

5. Local rental costs
